Margaret "Marge"
J. Lamanna
Mar 30, 1941 — Dec 26, 2025
Margaret J. "Marge" (Derjan) LaManna, 84, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 26th, surrounded by her loving family. Marge was known for her genuine kindness and unwavering strength. She was the beloved matriarch of her family, their steady foundation, trusted mentor, and constant source of love. Truly the heart of the family, Marge had a gift for fixing anything, whether with her hands, her wisdom, or her comforting presence.
Marge was born on March 30, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Julius Derjan and Elizabeth (Nehez) Derjan. She shared 65 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Frank LaManna. Together, they built a life and family they were deeply proud of. Forty years ago, they moved from Cleveland to Glasgow, Kentucky, where they planted new roots and created a home filled with warmth, love, and countless memories.
Their home became the heart of family gatherings, welcoming children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren over the years. Summers spent there remain some of the grandchildren's most treasured memories: baking cookies, going boating, and celebrating both life's big milestones and its simple joys. As her family grew, her great-grandchildren filled the home with laughter and light. Though Marge carried many titles throughout her life, her most cherished were "Nani", "Nanoush", (otherwise known as "Frickin"), and "Mother Goose." The home she shared with Papa will always be remembered as a place of happiness and comfort.
Marge's legacy lives on through her cherished recipes, family traditions, and the many memories her family will hold close in their hearts forever.
