Obituary

LISA EILEEN MORRIS (nee Birel), age 51, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2025. Beloved wife of David; loving mother of Ashley Major, Kayla Morris (Mikey Checkosky), Delaney Major (Justin Hitt), and McKenna Major; chersihed "Ama" of Lillianna Gossett, Raegan Fillinger, John Fillinger, and Jackson Checkosky; daughter of Earla Talboo and Walter Birel (deceased) (Maryann); sister of Nicole Birel (Justin Singleton); daughter-in-law of Dave and Linda Morris; sister-in-law of Debbie Rudy (George); aunt, niece, and cousin of many.

Lisa was the most devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, proud Ama, beloved sister, and loyal friend anyone could hope for. Her heart and home were always open—she cooked as if feeding an army, welcomed anyone in need with open arms, and offered a listening ear and a comforting shoulder without hesitation.

Once you were part of Lisa's family, you were in for life—her love was fierce, unwavering, and unconditional. She found joy in the simple pleasures: cooking delicious meals, staying active, embracing the great outdoors, and lighting up every room with her infectious laugh. Lisa was the life of every party, bringing laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories wherever she went.

She was also deeply passionate about her work with Thryv, where she consistently went above and beyond, pouring her heart into everything she did.

Lisa's legacy is one of generosity, strength, and boundless love. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.
