Obituary

LESLIE P. TURNER (nee Palmer) age 80. Went home to be with Jesus, December 16, 2025. Beloved mother of Shawne Tagliarina (Anthony) and Kim Kahalley (Paul); loving grandmother of Brandon Turner, Terry Ollervides (Sammara), Kelsey Ollervides, Savanna Kahalley and Reagan Kahalley; dear great-grandmother of Terry Ace Ollervides and Levi Ollervides; daughter of the late James and Doris (nee Toddy) Palmer; cherished sister of Susan Starr, Virginia Thomas (Phil) and James Palmer, Jr. (deceased) (Jan).

Leslie was truly a light and had a Servants heart for God. She was the kindest, most big-hearted, thoughtful, generous person. Leslie would say the eyes are the window to the soul, and for those who follow Christ, you could see it reflected in their eyes. Likewise, Leslie's beautiful, bright green eyes were full of God's light and love. She would always lift others up, dishing out compliments to everyone she encountered, even strangers. Throughout most of Leslie's life she donated her time to various charities and church ministries. She had an heart for seniors and volunteered regularly at nursing homes, leading arts and crafts classes. She also volunteered at hospitals to provide care to patients. Both provided her the opportunity to share God's love and kindness, pray for others, and lead them to Jesus. Who knows how many lives she touched! Well done good and faithful servant!

Leslie is deeply mourned by those who knew and loved her. But if she could speak to us now, she would gently remind us not to grieve without hope.  She would say "REJOICE that I am home with my Heavenly Father and my Savior Christ Jesus - with a new heavenly body, filled with eternal joy!  Life on earth is like the blink of an eye. Please don't waste another moment - now is the time to place your faith in Christ.  Live with love, with the assurance I will be waiting to greet you one day!" And as she would often do, she would end the conversation with, "I love you to infinity!"

We will miss you dearly - Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Disciple and Evangelist for Christ
