With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine "Josie" Canda (nee Bornino), who left us peacefully on January 14, 2026 at the age of 95. Born in Cleveland, OH on June 11, 1930, Josephine lived a life full of love, laughter, and polka music.

Josie was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Canda; dearest mother of Joyce Driehorst (Bruce), Susan DiGeronimo (Dennis), and Ronald J. Canda (Denise); treasured grandmother of Michael Driehorst (Stacey), Sarah Driehorst, Matthew Driehorst (Lauren), Kaitlyn Kebe (Isaac), Kristen Muzina (Dean), Kyle Canda (Daniela), Laura Sideri (Connor), and Jennifer Miller (Sam); loving great grandmother of Tessa, Makayla, Caleb, Jax, Madden, Maeve, Margot, Ava, and Gianna; sister of Dominic Bornino and all the following deceased Theresa Zock (Henry), Carmela Carpenter (Warren), and Bruno Bornino; sister-in-law of Patricia Bornino; loving aunt of many.  She touched the hearts of all she met and will be greatly missed!

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY FROM 4-8 P.M. Funeral Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Independence. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
