Obituary

JOSEPH E. MAJI, 79, of Sagamore Hills, passed away June 29, 2026. Beloved husband of 25 years to Mary Ellen Predmore (nee Pavlinsky); Stepfather to James Predmore; Loving son to the late Joseph F. Maji and the late Irene Maji (nee Turoczy); Dear brother to Marie Cliffel (Greg), Rita DeLisi (Dale), and the late Donald; Caring uncle, great uncle and friend to many. U.S. Army Veteran, Joe was a retired school bus driver for Orange Village. Shortly after graduating from high school, Joe was drafted to play minor league baseball as a pitcher with the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers farm leagues. He was a big time TV watcher, especially following sports of all kinds, in particular high school, college and pro sports. To call him the world’s biggest sports fan would be an understatement. Most of all he appreciated and loved his family and spending time with them making lifelong memories. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W AURORA RD. (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION 5-8 PM MONDAY, where a Funeral Message will take place at 7 p.m. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Joe’s life 11:30 a.m. St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Northfield.
