JOHN E. NEFF, age 44, of Northfield, entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Beloved husband of Laura R. (nee Darold); loving and cherished father to Leah C. and Kara S. and office pup and special canine companion Milo O.; caring son of the late Candice Thompson (nee Neff); brother to Andrew Thompson (Corie) and Kari Neff; son-in-law to Alfred J. and Susan (nee Hopkinson) Darold; brother-in-law to Brian R. Darold (Dorothy C.).  Leaves numerous nieces and nephews; cousins and was a friend to many. John enjoyed photography and technology.  He enjoyed golfing. John was a graduate of Fairview Local Schools in Michigan and received a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Adrian College and a master's degree in science administration from Central Michigan University. John was a proud member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Lenox, Illinois and attended and volunteered at the United Methodist Church of Hudson. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of John will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John's name to a college fund for Leah and Kara by way of Zelle to Laura Neff 989-400-3390.
