JAMES G. RISACHER, age 76, passed away on October 1, 2026. Beloved father of Angela Risacher, Micah Risacher (Cait); loving “Bapi” of Maeve Risacher, Nora Risacher, Ava Risacher, Robert Risacher; dear brother of John Risacher (Vicky), Mary Smith (John), Tom Risacher (fiancee Stacey); brother-in-law of Martha Risacher.

Jim graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Mansfield, OH in 1968 and the University of Dayton in 1972 with specialties in Psychology and Sociology. 

Following school, Jim spent over 50 years working in the food service industry holding various progressive management roles. His career spanned multiple companies including Cardinal Vending, Restaura, Aramark, American Food & Vending, and lastly, he finished his career with Sodexo. 

Jim loved to travel, and did so not just for work but for pleasure as well – often related to golf. Jim was part of a golf league from the United States and England for decades known as P.I.G.S. They would often golf between North America and Europe every other year creating great memories and experiences. 

Upon retiring at the start of 2023, Jim continued his love of golf domestically. He also leaned heavily into his hobbies of walking, cooking, gardening, and most importantly – spending time with his family and grand-daughters. Undoubtedly some of Jim’s best memories came from the last years of his life being surrounded by all of his family both new and old and being the best grandfather (Bapi) that could be asked for!

The Risacher family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Geiger, Dr. Woody, and all the staff at the Cleveland Clinic’s Tausig Cancer Center for their tremendous support during his fight with cancer these past 3.5 years.

Funeral Saturday October 10, 2026 at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
