James Edward Hach, affectionately known to many as “BoBo,” passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2026.

He was the loving father of Tara Lawrence (Joe), Jamie Drahan (Frank), and Edith Hach (Sean Walkey); proud BoBo to Kaylee, Aubrey, Kelsie, and Jaxon; and dear brother of the late Shirley (Barry) Walling, Edward Hach (Claire), the late Beverly (the late Anthony) Nickovich, and Mary Hach. He also leaves behind extended family, many friends, and countless people whose lives were touched by his unforgettable personality. James was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hach and Mary (Kochman) Hach.

BoBo was truly one of a kind. He was loud, wild, friendly, and never too concerned with what anyone else thought. He lived life like it was still the 1970s and always knew how to have a good time. If you knew BoBo, chances are he talked your ear off at least once or probably many times. Beneath his larger-than-life personality was a heart of gold. He was always willing to lend a hand and would do just about anything for someone who needed him.

BoBo worked for many years as a delivery driver, but anyone who really knew him knew that scrapping was his true passion. He loved fishing, spending time with his family, listening to rock music, and never passed up an opportunity to have a good time.

Above everything else, BoBo loved his children and grandchildren tremendously. Being “BoBo” was a role he cherished, and each of his grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. His family will forever carry countless stories, laughs, inside jokes, and memories of a man who was impossible to forget.

While his family wishes they could have had more time with him, they will remember him exactly as he was... the wild one, the talker, the helper, the scrapper, and the rock-and-roll-loving BoBo with a heart of gold. His personality was larger than life, and the stories and memories he left behind will keep a piece of him with his family forever.

Rest easy, BoBo. Your family will love you, miss you, and tell your stories forever. ❤️

All are invited to gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 9080 Shepard Road, Macedonia on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate BoBo’s Mass of Christian Burial. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church hall.
