GLENN W. MEREDITH, age 80, of Sagamore Hills, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, with his family at his side. Beloved husband to Dorothy L. (nee Anderson); loving father to Michael W. (Lora), and Darren G. Sr. (Candice); cherished grandfather to Samantha M., David M., Darren G. Jr. (Debra), and Andrew D. (Grace); dear brother to the late Donald (Fauneil), Dale (Linda), Larry (Mary), Fern McCulloch (the late Larry); brother-in-law to the late Doris Lightner (Bob), Helen Montgomery (Jim), the late Bill Anderson (Peggy), Wayne Anderson (Patsy), the late Richard Anderson, Harriett Gray (Richard), Steve DiMaria (Lois); uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews.
Glenn was born in Antrim, Ohio on August 30, 1944 to David C. Meredith and Sara Mabell (Pulley). After studying machining in Chicago, Illinois, Glenn returned back home to Ohio. At home, Glenn worked as a skilled tool and die machinist for nearly sixty years. In his free time, Glenn enjoyed working on cars, following Cleveland sports, gardening, and woodworking. Glenn recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary on May 16, 2024 with the love of his life Dorothy.
Everyone that was blessed enough to have known Glenn saw firsthand his devotion to family, his incredible craftsmanship, his stellar work ethic, and his immense strength. Glenn's smile, calm demeanor, and story-telling abilities allowed him to connect with his friends and family in ways that have changed their lives for the better. Additionally, Glenn improved the lives of those around him through his talents and intelligence. His crafts and projects were art. A true testament to the care and precision placed into such works.
Glenn W. Meredith's legacy will stand the test of time. A role model that will continue to influence and inspire.
