GAETANO BETEL, age 85, of Parma, entered peacefully into eternal life with his family by his side on Thursday, May 2, 2024, under the comforting care of hospice.  Born in Alcara Li Fusi, Sicily on February 10, 1939, Gaetano was the eldest of the late Salvatore and Nicolina Betel (nee Gioitta); beloved husband of 53 years to Lorenza (nee Piscitello); loving dad of Salvatore, Nicolina, and Maria Harrison (Jeremy); cherished Nonno of Avery, Evan, Camden, and Lauren Finding, Henry and Gaetano "Guy" Harrison; dearest brother of Lidia Bartolo (the late Salvatore), Erminia Betel, the late Antonino, and the late Ada Betel; uncle and great uncle of many.  Gaetano was a cabinet maker and enjoyed scroll-saw woodworking, playing bocce, and making wine.  He loved gardening, but most of all, Gaetano enjoyed the time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.  Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W.
