Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank L. Hominsky, Jr., who departed this life surrounded by the love and warmth of his devoted family on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the age of 88.  His absence will be deeply felt, yet his spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those he cherished most.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda (Muccioli), his parents Frank, Sr. and Margaret (Brenchi), and siblings Ivan, Thomas, Frances, Esther (Shubert), and Loretta (Poe). Frank's greatest pride was his children, Anthony "Tony", Sr. (Katie) and Vicki (Anthony). He took great joy in watching his grandchildren grow and thrive—Kristen (Jason) Jarvis, Anthony, Jr., Brandon, Justin, Frank (Julia), Dominic, and Vinny.  Some would argue that his greatest joy was being a Great-Grandfather to Gianna, Sophia, Jayden, Adrianna, Giavanna, Anthony III, Brooke, Stella, Sophia, and Cecelia.  He leaves behind a legacy fueled by love, laughter, and countless memories.

Frank was born and raised in Monarch, Pennsylvania.  He had a love and passion for cars, which eventually led to a career that brought him to Cleveland, Ohio, where he dedicated many years to and retired from General Motors. For nearly 50 years, he shared a beautiful marriage with Linda.  A true love story bound by mutual respect, patience, and endless joy. Together, they embraced life's challenges and celebrated its triumphs, all while creating beautiful memories with the family they loved so much.

Being a Pennsylvania native, Frank was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was also an avid pool player, often seen hustling games and cheering on friends and family with an infectious enthusiasm. Known by a few nicknames throughout his life, such as "Bugs" and "Chevy Frank," it was "Superman" that resonated most in his later years—a testament to his resilience when faced with his many health challenges. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and the countless lives he touched, reminding us all of the importance of family and the spirit of generosity.  As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we find comfort in the love he bestowed upon us, the stories he shared, and the lessons he imparted.  As he embarks on his heavenly journey, know that he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

~ You will be forever in our hearts, and your spirit will live on through the generations that follow ~

We love you.
