Frank Joseph
Giacomazza
Nov 8, 1976 — Aug 6, 2025
FRANK JOSEPH GIACOMAZZA of Bedford Heights, age 48, courageously battled sickle cell disease throughout his life, confronting its relentless physical, emotional, and mental challenges with unwavering strength. On August 6th, 2025, after a lifetime marked by resilience and bravery, he unexpectedly passed away from complications related to his illness. Despite the toll it took, Frank faced each day with determination and grace, refusing to let the disease define his spirit. His strength, perseverance, and quiet courage in the face of the disease will forever be remembered, honored, and deeply missed.
To his friends, Frank was loyal and trustworthy. As a nephew and cousin, he was dedicated to being part of the Giacomazza and Frusteri families. To his nieces and nephews, Uncle Frankie never failed to fill the room with his laughter and smile.
Frank's sister Theresa and brother Joseph Jr. (Heather) were steadfast in their support and love. His parents, Joseph Sr. and Theresa, to whom he was so beloved, cared for him throughout his journey, remaining by his side unconditionally. Frank is also survived by his daughter, Angelina, who was his world. When together, they completed each other, making the most of every cherished moment, until his last. To the rest of the world, Frank was a genuinely kind soul whose personal struggles he never allowed to taint his heart. Though he was taken too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew him, we find solace that he is now at peace. Flowers can be sent to St. Matthias Catholic Church, and please consider a donation in Frank's name to the American Sickle Cell Anemia Association (ASCAA) to help change the lives of those who are continuing their struggle.
