FRANCIS “FRANK” JAMES McGILL 39, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 15, 2026. He was greeted in heaven by his father James J. McGill and grandparents Frank and Lois Vasinko. Son of Kathleena Vasinko; beloved nephew of Suzanne Nici; brother of Daniel McGill.

Frank was a talented musician who could pick up and play any instrument; during high school he was lovingly known as “Dr. Groove.” He was also a proud graduate of Kent State University. Frank enjoyed taking his motorcycle out on long rides and was also a roller coaster enthusiast, traveling to many amusement parks for that next big thrill. He was featured in Roller Coaster Enthusiast Magazine and gave input and insight to the magazine. There was never a body of water he didn’t try to swim in, or a train whistle he didn’t try to chase.

In the words of St. Francis of Assisi, it is in dying we are born to eternal life.

Rest easy now, Frank, and remember to ‘play that funky music white boy’ for the angels.

All are asked to gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 9080 Shepard Rd, Macedonia, for a mass of Christian Burial, to celebrate Frank’s life on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
