FRANCES DALHART (Sroka), beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, with her daughters nearby, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2026, at the age of 95. She and her husband Pecos Dalhart (deceased) lived most of their lives in Brooklyn, Ohio and enjoyed many years traveling together. They would drive south to Florida each winter in their RV to enjoy the warm weather. She and her husband moved to Walton Hills with her daughter Doreen and husband Zane for the remainder of her life. After her husband passed, Frances became involved in the Seven Hills Recreation aquatic program where she met many wonderful girlfriends and spoke of them fondly.
Frances had a fulfilling life and is survived by her youngest sister MaryAnn Coleman of Brecksville, Ohio, and is reunited with her deceased siblings, sister Rita Brady (Bud), and brother Charles Sroka. She was a loving mother to her son David Dalhart (deceased) (Linda) of Wooster, daughter Denise Kestner (Steve) of Chagrin Falls, and daughter Doreen Dalhart-Dick (Zane) of Walton Hills; Cherished grandmother of Russ Dalhart (Nikki) of Oklahoma City, OK, Nick Dalhart of Wooster, Alex Kestner (Colleen) of Palo Alto, CA, Jonathan Kestner (Meghan) of Hudson, Joseph Kestner (Babette) of Shaker Hts, Amanda Povraznik (Amy) of Kent, and Michael Povraznik (Tiffany) of Solon; Adored great grandmother of Hailey, Issac, Goldie, Gravedon, Caleb, Lily, Scarlet, Hunter, Emilia, Juliana, Claire, Olivia, Zoe, Charles, Sophia and James.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Rd, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026. Refreshments immediately following the service at the Community Room at Village Hall, 7595 Walton Road, Walton Hills.
Private family interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd, September 26, 2026.
