Obituary

E. Delvena Pruitt (nee Wiley) Del Pruitt, born January 13, 1950 in Rossmore, West Virginia, beloved wife of Larry Pruitt, mother of Crystal Kaye (Jason) Wisniewski, grandmother to Kayleigh Ann (Brad Zinn) Wisniewski, and Alina Kaye Wisniewski, passed away January 14, 2024 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, daughter and granddaughters as well as her brothers; George Ernie Wiley, Daryl Wiley, John Scott Dingess; sisters Wava Robbins, Jeanne Slaeton and Raenell Vachon; Brothers-in-law James E Pruitt, Ronald L Pruitt, Charles W Pruitt; sister-in-law Kimberley A Dunford (Scott); nieces Sara Turk, Asha S Pruitt, Angela L Ramsdell, Alexandra Pruitt, Alyssa Pruitt; nephew Matthew Dingess, many great nieces and nephews and life-long friends Judy and Bill Kalfas and their daughter Kimberly. Del lived a life of selflessness and kindness, always there when needed; and caringly assuming the role of "Mom" for many. Her skills as a seamstress were amazing, producing items that have become family heirlooms. She was a self-taught crafter with skills that created a business that lasted for many years. She is preceded in death by her mother Gloria Wiley (Maynard), father George Wiley, her beloved grandmother (Mamaw) Effie Maynard, Uncle Ray Dingess and Aunt Deanna Dingess who raised Del as their own for most of her life. A celebration of life will be had at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Lung Association.
