DONALD L SOUNIK, age 71, of Twinsburg, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025.  Beloved husband to Terri L. (nee Norman); loving dad to Lisa R. Blackrick (DJ), Matthew P. (Elisa), and Samantha N. Norman; cherished grandpa to Ava and Gavin; dearest son of the late Louis Donald and the late Rose N. Sounik (nee Novak); dear brother to James R. (Laura), and the late David F. (Ofelia); caring uncle and great uncle and dear friend to many. Don followed in the footsteps of his father and was a self-employed carpenter. He grew up in a house built by his father and did the same for his own family. A smart and skilled builder of homes, he took great pride in his craftsmanship. He would often joke that he held a Ph.D. in "woodology" due to his passion for carpentry, and his work reflected both his talent and dedication. Beyond his love for building, Don enjoyed everything the great outdoors had to offer—camping, boating, and riding his motorcycle, or sometimes simply sitting in the sun, taking in the world around him. He was a man who found joy in both his craft and nature, but above all, he loved his family dearly.  Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA ROAD (OHIO RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2025 from 4 TO 7 PM, where a funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat For Humanity. Don will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his craftsmanship, love of nature, and the unwavering devotion he had for his family.
