Dominic Joseph
Flauto
Sep 19, 1942 — Feb 12, 2025
DOMINIC JOSEPH FLAUTO passed away suddenly on February 12, 2025 at his beloved home in Walton Hills. He was 82 years young (35 from the neck up). He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Concetta "Connie" (nee Buemi); adoring children Angie Schwin (Steve), Jim (Judy), and Rick (Debbie). He is the "Papa" of Matt Schwin, Vinny Flauto (deceased), Alexa Flauto, Jessie Schwin, Josh Ferguson, and Sara Grey (Will). Brother and protecter of his siblings, Frank (deceased), Tom (deceased) (Donna), Jerry (Carole), Ray (Penny), Lucy Mann (deceased) (Bob), and John (Kitty). Brother-in-law of Angie Buemi (deceased) and Sam Buemi (Kim Smith). He was an uncle and cousin of many. Dominic was preceded in death by his wonderful parents, Dominic T. and Josephine (nee Aiello) and his "In Laws," Joseph and Frances (nee Migliore) Buemi. He worked for LTV Steel for 37 years. In his career, he received many awards for his hard work, including the President's Achievement Award and perfect attendance awards. After retirement, he worked at Petitti Garden Center. Dominic volunteered his time in his community as Delivery Coordinator for the Walton Hills Owl and participated as a volunteer for many Walton Hills activities and events. He was very involved in his parish, St. Mary Catholic Church in Bedford as an usher and with the Amen Group. Dominic loved Cleveland sports, especially the Browns and also loved crime books, mystery TV shows, and the history of Cleveland. He would step up and help anyone in need and was always available for others. He was very proud of his family and his work ethic. He took pride in his yard and loved his home life. Dominic took great care of Connie and his dogs were very special to him. Anyone who met Dominic knew what a "stand-up" person he was and knew they could count on him for anything. Though quiet and humble, he definitely had a unique sense of humor. He was a loving and caring man who will be missed by everyone who knew him.
