DAVID M. PIEKARSKI, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2024.  Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Baczkowski) for 51 years; loving father of Michael (Cynthia), Brian (Stephenie), Christopher (Kristy), and Holly Schroeter (Daniel); dear grandfather of Elizabeth Piekarski, David Piekarski, Isabella Piekarski, Richard Piekarski, Evelyn Piekarski, Adeline Piekarski, Nathan Piekarski, Andrew Piekarski, Elaina Piekarski, Aliana Schroeter, Kara Schroeter, and Ethan Schroeter; brother of Stephen Piekarski (Susan), Kenneth Piekarski (Kate), Mae-Beth Fitch (Gus), Scott Piekarski, Susan Regan (William) and the late Ruth Galicki; brother-in-law of Robert Galicki; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. David served his community in the U.S. Army and as a Police Officer for nearly 40 years, beginning his career in Northfield Village, then serving in Woodmere, Bentleyville, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, and ultimately retiring from the Sagamore Hills Township Police Department. Proud co-owner of his family company, Peck Food Service, for over 38 years. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. His favorite pastimes were visiting Topsail Island, North Carolina and celebrating Christmas Eve with his beloved family.
