Dan is preceded in death by his parents, William Jenks & Margaret Jean Jenks, siblings William, James, Neil, Patsy, Kathrine, and Brian. Dear Uncle and cherished friend to all he met. Dan was the 7th of 9 children born July 25, 1955, a 1973 graduate of Holy Name High School Dan, created lifelong relationships, and met the love of his life, Debbie. They married in 1979 and created a beautiful life, being blessed with three amazing boys. Dan loved life, his work, cars, family and above all, loved God. A devout Catholic, Dan's faith was evident in his daily life. A 45-year parishioner of Church of the Assumption, Dan's love of God shined in his dedication to those less fortunate, establishing The Leprechaun Foundation to help terminally ill children, sponsoring Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraisers benefiting St. Herman's Homeless Shelter and serving on the board of directors for the Poor Clare Nuns Monastery in Rocky River. Whether buying a meal for one of Cleveland's Homeless, or giving a ride to a stranger in need, Dan was happy to be there. Dan was a lifelong entrepreneur, retired owner of Augie's Pizza & Ribs, Warrensville Heights, North Royalton and South Russell, Walt's Lounge, Briarcliff Party Center and Presti's Meats to name a few. Dan was also a real estate developer whose work can be seen throughout multiple counties. When Dan wasn't working or helping others, he loved to laugh and spend time with his family and friends at his home in Brecksville or his favorite place to visit, Ocean City, Maryland. In honor of Dan's memory and his legacy of helping others, we ask that you take the time to enjoy your family and friends, laugh, and help someone in need each day! In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to one of Dan's favorite charities: St. Herman's Homeless Shelter, The Poor Clares Monastery, Assumption Academy or The Order of St. Benedict- St. Andrew Abbey.
