DALE EDWARD MARTIN, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on July 21, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Anna (née Zayicek); devoted father of Dale Martin and Jessica Gartner (Ted); cherished grandfather of Ethan, Dale, Tessa, and Teddy; and dear brother of Wayne Martin (the late Janine).

Born in Maple Heights, Ohio, on June 17, 1950, Dale graduated from Maple Heights High School before proudly serving four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Mississinewa. He dedicated nearly 40 years of his career as an HVAC Journeyman Mechanic, working for organizations including Marymount Hospital, Technicare, NASA, and University School.

Known for his commitment to excellence and strong work ethic, Dale earned national recognition for achieving the highest score in the country in the handling of chlorofluorocarbons, receiving recognition from the United States House of Representatives. His positive attitude, friendly personality, and willingness to help others made him a respected colleague and a joy to work alongside.

Outside of work, Dale found his greatest happiness in spending time with his family. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball team, fishing, camping, and cheering on his beloved Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. Above all, he treasured every moment with his grandchildren.

Dale had a gift for making people laugh. His outgoing personality, quick wit, kindness, integrity, and steadfast Christian faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON MONDAY, JULY 27, 2026 FROM 3-7 P.M. Dale’s funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. Private family interment services will be celebrated at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
