CLAUDE WENDELL BALL, JR, 97, born October 21, 1928 and passed away September 1, 2026. Beloved husband of 74 years to the late Marilyn E. (nee Turck) who preceded him in death on March 5, 2026; loving father of Patricia K. Hall, Wendell A., Martha E. Sofie (John), and Andrew S.; cherished grandfather of Levi Hall, Zachary Hall (Maya Cope-Crisford), Sarah Whitmire, J. Lucas Sofie (fiancée Caroline Anders), Benjamin Sofie, Samantha Kaman (David), Matthew Ball (Christine), and Joseph Ball (Meghan); adored great grandfather of Ethan, Katelyn, Olivia, Quinn, and Sebastian; dearest son of the late Claude William Ball Sr. and the late Hazel Laura (nee Howard); dear brother to Norma Wiseman (Tom), Ron (Jeanette), and Nancy Secaur (the late Steven); uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle of many. Claude was an active member of the Free and Accepted Masons, earning the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite, Valley of Akron, and serving as District Deputy Grand Master for the 21st district of Ohio. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who served during World War II. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W.
