Obituary

CHERYLE A. WRIGHT (nee Blaylock) age 81 of Northfield Center. Beloved mother of Amy Pawloski (John) and Colleen Wright; loving grandmother of Jake Pawloski, Tara Pawloski (fiancé Andrew Brow) and Hailey Wright; dear sister of Melanie Herge and Art Blaylock (deceased) (Carolyn), daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanne Blaylock, lifelong best friend to Virginia Marino, and loving family friend of Dr. Gina Sarris.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO A CELEBRATION OF CHERYLE'S LIFE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2024 FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 2 P.M. AT THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (OHIO RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, luncheon to follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cheryle's name are suggested to The Hospice of the Western Reserve at www.hospicewr.org.

Cheryle was born in Cleveland, Ohio and had many interests as she grew.  Notably, in her youth, she spent some of her summertime at Camp Perry, even winning some marksmanship awards; she was on the Varsity Baton Team at Warrensville Heights High School, and sang for the Honors Society Choir.  She was also creative, exploring with watercolors and sketching people, and also left behind evidence that she felt strongly about women's rights.  A particularly impactful event in her youth was her driving trip as a high school senior out to California with a friend's family, as she spoke of that often in her older years.

As an adult, Cheryle began her working life with the East Ohio Gas Company and then moved to Seaway/Reiser Foods where she worked as a logistics coordinator.  But, mainly, Cheryle was all about her family and friends.  She enjoyed family outings, playing cards, bowling, and traveling with friends and her sister, Melanie.  The friends enjoyed their trips to Vegas, and she often spoke of her cruising with her sister and trip to North Carolina where they toured the Biltmore Estate.  Another notable trip was her 60th birthday present from her daughters, Amy and Colleen and her best friend, Virgie when they celebrated in NYC.  In her later years with trips winding down, she really enjoyed the local casinos.

As a mother, Cheryle worked very hard to raise her two daughters as a single mother, for the most part, often having to juggle odd shifts, yet still making it to all of their school activities, softball and volleyball games.  When she became a grandma, she continued the tradition, traveling to Michigan often for grandkid birthdays and to see Jake's and Tara's baseball, softball, hockey and soccer contests, and later supporting Hailey's early rec basketball, and travel soccer.  Holiday celebrations were always special, and she was very proud of her daughters and grandchildren.

Cheryle, you will be missed, and we will always cherish our beautiful memories of you…
