CHANDRAPALA RAJAGURU, born 04/14/1934:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Chandrapala Rajaguru, age 90, from Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, on October 3, 2024.  Mr. Rajaguru was born and lived most of his life in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, living the past 11 years in Nanuet, NY and Twinsburg, OH, in the USA.

He attended St. Anne's College Kurunegala and Teachers Training College in Maharagama, Sri Lanka; serving most of his life as a dedicated secondary school principal in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka.  He was also an accredited Justice of the Peace for the entire island of Sri Lanka.  He was an avid reader, analytical thinker, and a creative writer of many genres.

Mr. Rajaguru was a devoted Buddhist who engaged in various meritorious deeds such as teaching underprivileged children and assisting local temples with many projects.  He spent his latter years leisurely with his wife and enjoyed his time, very much, with his grandchildren.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Chandra; daughters Thushari, Deepthi, Chandima, and Amila; sons-in-law Karu, Nihal, Mark, and Chandana; grandchildren Sineli, Cheniru, Dinuka, Senumi, and Minuki.
