Brandon C.
Kassel
Apr 24, 1993 — Dec 25, 2023
BRANDON C. KASSEL, 30, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away December 25, 2023. Brandon grew up in Cleveland. As just a toddler, he had a passion for construction vehicles, knowing the difference between a front-end loader and backhoe before he could even walk. Brandon learned to drive and loved cars (and driving them fast!) and often took the long way home. He enjoyed his friends and family. Brandon loved the outdoors, gaming, movies, and all varieties of hot sauce. His talents as an actor emerged, starring in many of his high school plays at Lawrence School in Northfield, where he was a graduate. Brandon continued from there to Notre Dame College in South Euclid, but instead felt the call to serve his country.
Brandon joined the United States Marine Corps, completing his basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and then was stationed at Camp Pendleton in CA. Brandon serviced attack helicopters at Camp Pendleton, serving his entire duty there until he was honorably discharged.
Following his military service, he moved to Columbus, where he put the skills he learned in the Marines and his love of cars to work as an auto mechanic. Brandon discovered a passion for motorcycles. He loved to laugh, and had an infectious smile that lit up his whole face. Brandon loved to make people happy. He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends.
Brandon was the loving father of Lena Lloyd (mother, Candace); beloved son of Curtis and Karen Kassel (nee Fartelly); dear brother of Taylor Kassel Baldyga (Kyle), and Trevor Kassel; nephew of John (Veronica) Fartelly and Cheryl Kassel Morris; cousins to Amanda, Andrew, Matt, Nick, Phil, Destiny, Angel and Nicholas. He will be especially missed by his best friend and girlfriend Siandra Stires. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. Burton and Donna Kassel and John and Goldie Fartelly, as well as his aunt Cindy Drollinger. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (OH. RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 4 PM. MEMORIAL VISITATION SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 2024 1PM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE AT THE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Brandon's name to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation by visiting www.T2T.org.
