ANTHONY JOHN DIFRANCO, age 91, beloved husband of Helene (nee Wheeler), passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. Anthony was a warm, personable man who had a genuine ability to make those around him feel welcome and valued. A proud graduate of Benedictine High School, Anthony was active in athletics, where he played football and ran track. He carried that same energy, determination, and team spirit throughout his life. He also served his country honorably as a U.S. Army Veteran.
After his military service, Anthony used his natural warmth, personable nature, and ability to connect with people to build a successful career in sales. He was known for treating everyone with kindness and respect, qualities that served him well throughout his professional life and earned him the lasting friendships of many along the way.
He was the loving father of Renee Lunsford (Chris), John DiFranco, Jeffrey Nutter (Ellen), Jerry Nutter (MaryAnn), Richard Simpson, and the late Ronald Simpson (Joanne); cherished grandfather of Tess Elavsky (Tyler), Eve Walters, Naomi Walters, Morgan Lunsford, and Clay Lunsford; and dearest great-grandfather of Jireh John Elavsky and Ezra Elavsky. He was the dear brother of the late Rosalie Smith (late Phil), and a beloved uncle, great-uncle, and cousin to many.
Anthony will be remembered for his kind and personable nature, his love for his family, his determination, and the warmth he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
