Obituary

Ann Wendorff (nee Kovalik) was born June 25, 1934 and married the love of her life, Don Wendorff Sr. (deceased 2008) in 1955.

During her life, Ann wore many hats. She fondly remembered her start working for a prestigious Cleveland law firm after graduating from Jane Addams High School in 1952. In the years to follow, Ann defined the word "caregiver." She lovingly raised her three children and tended to her and Don's aging parents. Ann went on to work as a teacher's aide in Bedford Schools and as a nurse's aide. Throughout, Ann remained active with Holy Trinity Catholic Church and her church "family."

Friend to all, Ann saw the best in everyone, beauty in everything and thanked God for all of it! Those who knew her best were well acquainted with the statement, "My cup runneth over!"

Family meant everything to Ann, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, which lives on through her children, Diane Gentille (Dino), Laura Collins (Brian) and Don Wendorff Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Brett (Amanda), Korey (Autumn), Chad (Kenzee), Eron, Meredith (Jordan), Evan and Maura (fiancé Adam). Ann's great-grandchildren, Oliver, Penelope and a baby boy due in May will carry forward her memory with love. Ann is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pam (Steve) Kovalik and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will dearly miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mary (LaBuda); sister, Edith Arbutina (Bill); and brothers Ed Kovalik (Fran) and Steve Kovalik.
