Steve A. Dzurnak

STEVE A. DZURNAK, age 87, passed away on August 16, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Smolko); dear father of Susan Hall (Roy), Stephen (Crystal), Michael (Nancy), and Rick (Renee); loving grandfather of Jason (Joanne), Daniel (Lauren), Eric (Abby), Stephen (Nikolina), Stephenie, Crystal (Thomas), Peter, Ashley (Zandra), Jessica, Michael, Noelle, Nick, Will, and the late Alex; great grandfather of Loghan, Griffin, Londyn, Gabrielle, Andrew, and Logan; brother of Marge Mordarski (the late Robert), and the following deceased Betty Cech (Don) and Richard. Steve retired as a bricklayer from Local 5.  He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Dzurnak was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1812, serving as its Commander from 1986 to 2017 and was the CVW State of Ohio Historian.  While Commander, he was honored as the Grand Marshall of the 2001 Maple Heights Memorial Day Parade.  Steve was also a member of American Legion Post 309 and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus belonging to Moses Cleaveland Assembly 800.  He was Cubmaster and Boy Scout Leader. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, FOR VISITATION ON MONDAY FROM 2-8 P.M. Funeral Tuesday 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church. Private family interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
