STEPHEN CHESTER EVANS, age 86, passed away on September 8, 2019. Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Krejci) for 65 years; loving father of James A. Evans (Laurie) and Jan A. Sopko; dear grandfather of Steve (Jill), James, Nicole Messink (Brett) and Spencer Sopko (Becky); great grandfather of Stephen Evans and Corbin Sopko; sister of the late Joan. Mr. Evans served in the U.S. Army and was known as the “Maytag Man” because he owned a Maytag Appliance repair business. Private family funeral services were celebrated.
